Mayor Bloomberg cancels New York Marathon

Seriously people! The dumb-ass critics and media reporters on the side of stupidity and not-so-common sense strike again! Mayor Bloomberg is absolutely correct to put the daily lives of millions of New Yorker’s ahead of the 47,000 runners. They are battling infrastructure failure problems after Hurricane Sandy danced her destructive ballet up and down the east coast. They managed to get the power back on today (Nov 3, 2012) and return Manhattan to some semblance of normality but many people and services are still affected. New Jersey Governor Chris Christie announced 1970’s style rationing as many gas stations are closed due to lack fuel. People have been buying fuel on Craiglist for as much as $15 a gallon!!! New York Governor Andrew Cuomo announced that 28 million gallons of fuel will be delivered to the stricken tri-state region in next few days, released from Obama’s emergency oil reserves.

Ask yourself:  What will I do when the gas stations run dry? Do I have the time to wait 8 hours in line every other day for 10 gallons of fuel? Can I afford to pay $15 or more for black market fuel? Can I guarantee that the fuel is of good grade and not been watered down? Or did my failure to plan cause me to rely on an ill prepared government to look after me?
